Critical to such representation is a clear and comprehensive understanding of U.S. tax laws involving residency, taxation of U.S. and foreign source income, classification of foreign entities for U.S. tax purposes, interplay with the tax laws of foreign jurisdictions, special rules, deductions and credits applicable to cross-border income and deductions, and tax treaties.
